What is used now
The application uses essential browser storage for artwork carry-over, human-chat access and remembering the storage notice. Hosting and sign-in providers may set necessary session or security cookies. The application has no optional advertising pixels, tracking cookies or visitor fingerprints.
There are also limited, cookie-free page counts described below. “Got it” acknowledges this information. It does not subscribe you to marketing, authorise optional tracking or waive a privacy right. Future optional tracking needs an updated notice and appropriate controls before it starts.
Notice acknowledgement
localStorage item mmd-cookie-notice-v1 holds the notice version and acknowledgement time, without contact details, artwork or an advertising ID. It is not sent to the server.
It is treated as valid for 180 days, checked on page load. The item can remain until replaced or cleared. If storage is blocked, dismissal may work only for the current page. You do not need to accept a marketing category to use the website.
Artwork drafts
IndexedDB database make-my-design-artwork, store quote-drafts, can hold an artwork file or link for carry-over to a quote. Draft validity is one hour. Cleanup runs when the store is accessed, not while the browser is closed.
A successful quote attempts to delete its local draft; an interrupted submission can retain a valid draft for retry. This browser- and device-specific storage is not a cloud backup and does not synchronise artwork between computers.
Human-chat access
sessionStorage item mmd.live-chat.v1 holds a random secret conversation token and expiry, not your transcript, name or card details. A token can be prepared before the first message to support a safe retry.
It belongs to this website and browser tab. Ending chat removes the saved token; closing the tab or clearing data can also remove it. Without it, you cannot reopen the conversation. It is not an advertising or cross-device identifier. Server-side chat expiry is described in the Privacy policy.
Counts without tracking storage
The page counter sends only an approved page path. It creates no tracking cookie, localStorage identifier, fingerprint or persistent visitor ID. The aggregate table holds the day, path and page views, not unique visitors, queries or referrers. Private forms, calculators, design and owner routes are excluded.
Rows are retained within a 90-day window and cleaned up on later traffic or operations activity. Separate short-lived hashed network-address keys limit abuse. Platform security logs are separate. Blocking requests can prevent a page from being counted.
Your controls
Cookie preferences in the footer reopens this information. Reopening or dismissing it enables no optional service. Newsletter consent has a separate unchecked choice and confirmation email; those links create no tracking profile.
Browser settings can block or clear site data, removing artwork drafts, chat access, the notice acknowledgement and possibly sign-in state. Blocking essential storage can affect the associated feature. Use a private device for confidential artwork or messages.
Other services
Microsoft 365 email, QuickBooks invoices, WhatsApp, Instagram, Google Maps and other external links have their own storage and privacy practices. These links do not embed those providers’ optional advertising scripts in this website.
